Find out where AI actually recommends you
Buyers have started asking ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Copilot the questions they used to type into a search box. The answers name a handful of businesses. If yours isn’t among them, you never reach the shortlist, and nothing in your analytics tells you it happened.
A visibility checker answers one question: when someone asks about what you do, does the answer include you?
Two checkers, because the questions are different
How a business gets recommended by an AI platform depends almost entirely on who’s asking. Pick the one that matches how you sell.
AI Visibility Check for B2B
For manufacturers, suppliers and service businesses selling to other companies. Built around supplier shortlisting, specification research and competitor comparison — the long, quiet part of the buying cycle that happens before anyone contacts you.
- Supplier and shortlisting prompts
- Specification and certification questions
- Competitor comparison across the buying cycle
AI Visibility Check for B2C
For consumer brands, local services and retailers. Built around the local, comparative and recommendation-led questions customers ask when they're close to deciding — the ones national tools never test.
- Local prompts for the areas you serve
- Recommendation and near-me style questions
- Comparison against named competitors
How does our AI visibility checker work?
Automated checkers measure something different rather than something wrong. They’re a reasonable starting point, run them by all means. But a score with no benchmark, drawn from prompts nobody in your market would type, isn’t a finding you can act on.
| Automated checkers | A Digital Landscope report | |
|---|---|---|
| Prompts used | A fixed, generic prompt set | Researched around your sector, buyers and markets |
| Local questions | Rarely tested | Built around the areas you actually serve |
| What's measured | Often what the model already holds in memory | What the platform retrieves and cites live |
| Session integrity | Personalised sessions skew results | Fresh sessions, memory disabled |
| Benchmark | A score on its own | Scored against competitors you name |
| Output | An automated dashboard | A written report from a specialist, in 2–3 working days |
Frequently asked questions
How the checkers work, and which one to use.
It’s a measure of whether AI platforms name your business when someone asks about what you do. We research the prompts your buyers actually use, run them across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot and Gemini, and record whether you were cited in the answer.
The result is a share of voice score against the competitors you name, plus the specific prompts where you’re absent.
Pick the one that matches how you sell. If your customers are other businesses and buying involves specifications, shortlists or procurement, use the B2B checker. If your customers are members of the public, use B2C.
If you genuinely do both, use the one that generates most of your revenue and mention the other side in the notes box. We’ll cover both in the research.
Rankings tell you where a page sits on a results page. AI visibility tells you whether a model names you at all, and the two often disagree. Plenty of businesses ranking well in Google are entirely absent from AI answers, usually because directories, review sites or trade publications get cited in their place.
ChatGPT Search, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot, Gemini and Grok, alongside traditional search results for context. Each is scored separately, because visibility on one rarely means visibility on all of them.
We aim to send it within 2–3 working days. Reports are researched and written by a specialist rather than generated automatically, so if we’re busy it can occasionally take a little longer, we’ll let you know if so.

Not sure which one you need?
If you sell to both, work across several markets, or you’d just rather talk it through — book a slot with the team. It’s a straightforward conversation about where you are and what’s worth doing next. No pitch deck.
